Full Scale Crash - VTI SL

Catapult for conducting frontal, side and rear full-crash tests to study the behavior of the whole vehicle. Design, manufacturing, installation and tuning of all the subsystems: propulsion, drag, guidance, control and impact barrier.

The use of hydraulic technology allows speeds of over 65 km/h for masses greater than 1600 kg while reducing electrical installed power and eliminating electromagnetic noise in the measurements.

Control kit, developed by VTI,  allows defining both the impact speed and the acceleration profile. The application includes a feature designed to obtain smooth acceleration progression with braking capacity to cancel the test up to 50% of the stroke.
